What is this site about??
This site is dedicated to the Chinese mythical hero, Sun Wu Kong .
As you all know, Sun Wu Kong is one of the famous leading characters in Journey to the West ,
a story written by Wu Cheng'en in the 15th Century. This story is based on the original
pilgrimage of Xuan Zang to India during the 7th century, with a few adjustments.
This site is for all fans of Monkey King
to enjoy. There are pictures and theme songs from the Chinese TV series,
Journey to the West. There are also stories for people who don't really know a lot
about Monkey King and want to find out or for some who just want to read it again for
old time sake.
Who create this site??
That's me of course. You might know me throughout the forum as ngokhong .
I am obsess about Monkey King that's why I choose that name. Ngo Khong is
Wu Kong in Vietnamese. So of course I am Vietnamese. But I am also a quarter chinese too.
I never lived in China and my grandpa (who is 100% chinese) died when I was 5,
so I really don't know a lot of chinese. Just a couple of phrases that can't take
me anywhere.
When is this site created??
Monkey King's World is created some time in 2003. Because I have been busy with my school works,
I don't have time to do lots of update. Since I have some spare time now, I am going
to try to work on bettering the site.
Why I create this site??
Isn't it obvious? I am a huge fan of Monkey King ever since I saw Journey to the West
on TV in Vietnam. I have watch all the Journey to the West series that I could get
my hand on. I really am obsess with Monkey King, which is why I thought I
should create a site all about Monkey King, for other fans like me to get together
and learn more about this great chinese hero.
